Jewish heritage is not only preserved in large museums and archives but can also found in numerous other sources. Small community archives, volunteer-based projects, testimonies, family, and personal collections all hold valuable pieces of Jewish history. These small and mid-size stakeholders are often not connected to long-term preservation infrastructures, putting their precious content at risk of disappearing within a few years. J-Ark is an integrated solution launched for small and mid-size collections in 2020 by the European Commission, designed to be compatible with European standards for long-term preservation (E-ARK). It offers a turnkey solution to onboard a digital archive, ensuring that these invaluable resources are preserved for future generations.
